If you like lighthouses, don’t miss the fully-restored 1859 Cape May lighthouse. Located off the beaten track in the quaint, quiet village of Cape May Point, the lighthouse is approximately 25 minutes from the Concord Suites.
Climb the 218 steps for magnificent views: sunset over Delaware Bay, plus other features unique to the area: S.S. Atlantus, the ill-fated concrete ship; wildlife; and the towers and bunkers of a WWII artillery emplacement.
Overlooks peaceful beaches where regulars dig for “Cape May Diamonds,” the colorful quartz pebbles polished during their tumbling journey down the Delaware River and deposited at Cape May Point.
